Client: Pizza Express
Location: Pizza Express Strand, London
JBS supplied lighting, staging and audio support with a team of engineers and crew for four intimate shows featuring Pixie Lott and her band, with support from London Red.
We transformed the Strand restaurant into a stunning music venue with discreet wirelessly controlled DMX uplighting, pipe & drape blackout and acoustic screening, and a queue barrier system. A Meyer Sound distributed audio system was used so that every seat enjoyed excellent sound, and a mixture of LED washes, conventional profiles, vintage fresnels and Sunstrips created an exciting stage setting.
We also ate a lot of pizza.
Client: Silken Strings
Location: The Salle des Etoiles, Monte Carlo
JBS accompanied electric string trio Silken Strings to production manage and engineer their performances at a large corporate event in Monte Carlo.
The trio performed three sets of music in two locations - the drinks reception and the main concert hall. Each performance utilised Sennheiser G3 IEM and instrument belt pack systems for electric violin, viola and cello, with L-Acoustics wedge monitoring (reception) and flown ARCS (concert) as backups.
It is important that our engineers and personnel work seamlessly with local crews, to ensure the event runs flawlessly. Tres bien!

JBS accompanied The Redstone Collective for their performances at the 70th birthday celebrations of David Gilmour at Portchester Hall.
A front of house PA system and lighting were already in place for the Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, so we provided a full onstage compliment for the excellent jazz quartet. A Shure Super 55 was used for the lead vocalist, in keeping with the vintage theme of the event. Every effort was made to minimise visibility of modern technology!
